Hello!
My name is Lauren Grzymala, and I'm the owner of Gold Dust Galas! I'm a York County native, a wife to my high school sweetheart, a mother to a rambunctious little boy and the sweetest little girl, a creative thinker, a first-generation entrepreneur, and of course, a certified event planner! I'm also the overachieving oldest daughter with two younger brothers to set an example for, and an outspoken advocate for HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) - a diagnosis my family is all too familiar with since my son was born in March 2020. When I'm not coordinating an event, you can find me sipping on a Dunkin' iced coffee, listening to true crime podcasts, or pouring my heart into whatever craft project I've picked up that week. (Maybe even all three at once!)
Planning events was always my calling. It just took me a little while to answer.
In hindsight, I probably should have known I would join the events industry someday. I was about five years old when I planned my first wedding - the union of my two family dogs, hosted for the whole neighborhood, much to the dismay of my pregnant, bedrest-ridden mother whose fridge was emptied for the event...but that's a story for another day!
After graduating from Dallastown Area High School in 2014 (Go Wildcats!), I started college as a Criminal Justice major. (I know, I couldn't have chosen anything more opposite to what I'm doing now!) After three semesters, I realized Criminal Justice was NOT the career for me and decided to place my focus on my retail career. When my husband and I relocated to Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, I began researching careers that would fulfill my purpose and came across Lovegevity's Wedding Planning Institute, through which I was professionally trained and certified in April 2017. Soon before being officially certified, I was offered a job as the Store Manager at Formalities by Tracina Fisher, which opened my door into the bridal industry. I was presented with the very unique and advantageous opportunity of working for a small business while simultaneously building my own, and it gave me insight into this industry that no schooling could ever offer.
Upon relocating back to our hometown and moving into our forever home, I brought my business to York County with me, and am proud to offer my services to York, Lancaster, Gettysburg, Harrisburg, State College, Bellefonte, and the surrounding areas. Wedding and event planning is my calling and my passion, and I love getting to know my clients and sharing in their joy during their greatest moments. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone who takes as much of an interest in your celebrations as I do, and I would be overjoyed to have you as a client!
